Is it permissible to send bulk emails to a group of individuals who have not given permission to receive them?
Is it legal for my friend to use a list of 6000 emails he has had for a few years for emailing purposes? He is concerned that it would be considered as spam, but I think it would be okay if he sent out an email to everyone on the list asking if they would like to receive newsletters from him, and then only sending newsletters to those who agree. Does this sound like a good plan?
