What is the conversion rate for capturing email only?
ED on my squeeze pages, especially in the IM niche.
Should you capture the first name when creating squeeze pages, especially in the IM niche?
No, you should not capture the first name when creating squeeze pages, especially in the IM niche. Capturing only the email address almost always increases your conversion rates on your squeeze pages, and right now people are getting up to 69% conversions with ‘email only’ deployed on their squeeze pages. Name personalization in emails used to be effective, but now it is seen as a trick and usually decreases response, as people often type in fake names anyway.
